Welcome to Petite Ecole Preschool or "Little French Preschool"

 

I am Kate Yospe I have taught Kindergarten for 5 years and Preschool for 7 years, and BONUS I am fluent in French.  We use Montessori techniques as well as the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to get your children not only ready for kindergarten but excited about school and learning. 



This is a French-English Preschool where I will be introducing the basics in French in a fun way.  We will be learning French for 35 minutes a day by using a mixture of song, dance, play, and books to learn French. The children will learn how to introduce themselves, count, name shapes, name colors, and follow basic instructions. 

In English (Reading) the students will learn the foundations to get them ready for Kindergarten.  Since I taught Kindergarten for 5 years I know how to get kids ready for school. They will be taught how to write their name, all the letters and sounds of the alphabet, and basic sound blending skills, I will be using the Handwriting Without Tears program, which is very hands on and movement focused.

In Math the students will learn in both French and English.  The students will be taught numbers 1-10 counting, shapes, sorting, patterns, and graphing.  We will focus on Math mastery in English and Math comprehension in French.
